Getting started

How quickly can I start shipping?+

Under five minutes. Create an account, add a sender address, then quote and buy your first label. The onboarding checklist walks you through each step.

Do I need a credit card to sign up?+

No. The Free plan covers 25 shipments a month with no card required. You only add payment when you upgrade or buy labels.

Which carriers do you support?+

Parcel via UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL and the wider network; freight via major ocean lines (Maersk, MSC, CMA CGM and more) plus air and LTL partners.

Pricing & billing

How does pricing work?+

Plans are based on shipment volume, not seat count: Free (25/mo), Starter ($29/mo, 250), Growth ($99/mo, 2,500), and Enterprise (custom). See the pricing page for full details.

Do I get your rates or carrier rates?+

By default, Atlas-negotiated rates that are often 10–35% below retail. On Growth and Enterprise you can connect your own carrier accounts and use your own negotiated rates.

Can I get net-30 invoicing?+

Yes, on Growth and Enterprise with a credit check. Self-serve plans pay by card at the time of purchase.

International & customs

Can you estimate duty and taxes?+

Yes — our free landed-cost calculator estimates duty, VAT, and brokerage for any HS code and destination. We also auto-generate commercial invoices for international parcels.

Do you screen for sanctions compliance?+

Every international shipment is automatically screened against OFAC, BIS, EU, UK, and UN denied-party lists before a label is bought — included free on every plan.

Who pays the duty, me or my customer?+

It depends on the Incoterm you choose. DDP means you pay; DAP/DDU means your customer pays at delivery. Our guide on DDP vs DAP explains when to use each.

Platform & integrations

Can I connect Shopify?+

Yes. Connect in about two minutes and paid orders flow into Atlas automatically, rate-shop, and (optionally) auto-ship with tracking synced back to the order page.

Is there an API?+

Yes — a REST API with a sandbox, bearer auth, and signed webhooks (same HMAC scheme as Stripe). Rate, label, and track in three calls.

Can I bulk-upload shipments?+

Yes. Upload a CSV of up to 5,000 rows; Atlas validates each one, rate-shops in parallel, and buys all the labels in a single click.

Returns & support

How do returns work?+

Generate a prepaid return label, track the inbound package, and refund the customer through Stripe — all in Atlas. You can also give customers a branded self-service returns portal.

How do I get help?+

Browse the help center, or contact support by email (4-hour response on Growth, 24-hour on Starter). Enterprise gets a dedicated solutions engineer.

Security & data

How is my data protected?+

Encryption in transit and at rest, row-level security on every table, MFA for staff access, and a permanent audit log. See our security page for details.

Do you sell my data?+

Never. No third-party advertising trackers, no data brokering. Payment data stays with Stripe and never touches our servers.
